Big Updates
- Affogata Helper, your famous AI Analyst that helps you explore, research and summarize player & user feedback, now has additional skills of using Affogata for you. One of the unique benefits of Helper is that it lives inside of the Affogata platform and has direct access to all of Affogata’s data and querying capabilities – and it’s now capable of doing searches for you, retrieving relevant data, and using it to answer more complex research questions. It will also cross-reference feedback quotes to help you check them out at the source. This is no hallucination nation!
- More from Helper, it’s now capable of analyzing Support Ticket data. This use case is moving needles every day – if you use a ticketing platform and haven’t plugged it into Affogata yet, hit us up!!
- Design changes on Dashboard: General reorder of widgets for a more seamless utilization & “Compact Layout” Mode – which shows the most popular widgets in a tighter, lighter view
- Deeper support for Discord Forums and semantics throughout the platform
- General Availability of the API
Medium Updates
- Conversation Clusters now have an AI-generated longer description available in the Convo Cluster CSV Export, to help you get a bit more depth into what each cluster is about.
Also, check out the ‘Example Posts’ column to redirect to a drill down of the most impactful/interesting posts of a specific cluster! - Also for Conversation Clusters, they now sport a new list view mode. While less visual, it allows you to more easily search through the various themes emerging from the conversations and group similar clusters with ease!
- The core algo of Conversation Clusters keeps improving through all of this, delivering better results for all kinds of data. And we’re so thrilled to hear this confirmed through the droves of your positive feedback 💪😎
- We’ve introduced a new Notification Feed to help bubble up things that may require human attention – for now, like data source authentication issues, for example. But we have much more planned with this area in the future!
- Helper keeps popping up in more places in the platform – it’s easier to get contextual snapshot reporting a la AI in more and more places in the dashboard.
- A new Demographics widget which gives you a breakdown of languages and countries (where available) in the dataset
Small Updates
- A lot of user interface improvements – better search selection in the dashboard, UX updates in the save search dialog, being able to drill down from the Total Data Points display in the dashboard, built-in LaTeX display in Helper, better display of Discord emojis, sorting by change in the Top Keywords widget, and more … much more is coming up in this department as we seek to make Affogata a breeze to use for any type of user.
- Improvements to Group By Theme mode in the Trending Keywords widget, designed to make this mode more intuitive.
- Improvements to the exported CSV format across the board
- Various Zendesk improvements, such as support for Organization metadata and app profiles.
Whew! Quite a lot new, and we’d love to hear any feedback, questions, or suggestions.
So, what are we cooking now?
As the science and art of Player Insights evolve, it’s our mission to stay on the cutting edge of how this data can be used as part of a studio’s entire data strategy. To that end, there are two parallel and complementary vectors we’re pushing on:The first – being able to integrate your business metrics into Affogata. This basically gives a “data infrastructure” in a box – directly being able to deduce, analyze, and draw data-based conclusions on how fine-grained player sentiment is driving (or not driving) business impact. The second – direct data access to Affogata itself. Designed for organizations with a more mature data stack, it allows you to basically connect to Affogata like any other data source. You have data users or analysts who use primarily PowerBI? Tableau? Jupyter Notebook? No matter the tool – you can hook it up directly to Affogata and work directly with distilled insights from the myriad of unstructured data sources it covers.
As usual, we’d love to hear from you. Hit us up and let us know how we can … enable, empower and delight!
Thank you for reading,
Team Affogata
